Base Body 8

Those crafty individuals skilled and adept in the ways of subterfuge, secrecy, and subtleties. They do what it takes to get their missions completed, be it sourcing rare items, seeking out hidden mysteries, or locating targets.

Discipulus

Tier 2: Scholar

Tier 3: Sage

     Many professors, scientists, philosophers, relic researchers, and historians fall under the umbrella of the Discipulus trade. A good many of which studied at one of the two major universities of UR. These folks are often found in libraries, accompanying archaeological digs, perusing the stashes of collectors, and joining adventurers on clear outs of relic sites. They can be spotted on ships with explorers and in royal halls as historians or counselors.

Legate

Tier 2: Envoy

Tier 3: Ambassador

     When dealing with matters between realms, royalty, parliament, noble houses, or politics of any kind, one would need a Legate to act as messenger, liaison, and interpreter. These folks are the mediators between any kind of officiation or discrepancy for many serious matters. They excel in calming tense situations, drafting contracts, interpreting local law and etiquette, and often stay on top of what Newshawks and Pursuivants report. Legate are expected to assist in mediating local disputes that arise.

Newshawk

Tier 2: Hawkshaw

Tier 3: Correspondent

     Newshawks have a nose for finding out information they're researching. They often develop friendships with locals that tend to be privy to valuable information and guard those connections fiercely. They tend to have the ability to get down to the truth of matters, take note in the details, and are often rather charming and friendly. They get others to talk and let down their guard and of course they generally have a way with keeping track of things and reading people or scenarios.

Peddler

Tier 2: Monger

Tier 3: Merchant

     Peddlers are those that move products from creator to buyer. Many tend to deal in a specified product, and in doing so build a relationship between specific producers and regular buyers. They're good with business, numbers, bargaining, and keeping an eye out for sticky fingers. Many choose to travel in order to reach a wider selection of producers and customers, though some choose to set down roots and build a business in one location. They act as a step between the commoners and the nobles, elite, and political leaders.

Pursuivant

Tier 2: Herald

Tier 3: Conciliate

     Every official office, city, royal headquarters, and many nobles or conglomerates keep a Pursuivant, or several, in their employ. These experts in martial law often act as moral mentors, event organizers, heraldic historians, record keepers, and officiants for events and tourneys. Most begin working for minor nobility and climb the ladder as they build renown. They all must live by the code of their employer and are tasked with reporting acts of treason, bravery, major events, and keep track of the coat of arms of everyone under their charge, along with services owed.
