Physical Characteristics: Located in southern central UR, mire/ swamp, marshland, wetlands, forests, lakes, and rivers. Relatively flat lowland, inland features include low prairies and rolling hills.

Garb
The clothing worn in Lowlan Borough is tailored to cope with the hot and humid weather conditions. Lightweight, breathable fabrics such as cotton, linen, and silk are commonly used due to their excellent moisture-wicking properties, helping people stay comfortable and cool. Accessories like head wraps and coverings, often embellished with vivid colors and patterns, offer protection from the sun and insects while adding a touch of personal flair. The fashion in Lowlan is quite diverse and versatile, catering to different needs and preferences. The use of vests, crop tops, and ankle-length garments provides a good balance between comfort and style. The two-piece outfits and billowy pants cinched at the ankles are perfect for the local weather conditions.

Long sleeves are regarded with suspicion, as they are usually worn to conceal things in this realm. If they are worn, they’re slit open or constructed with a long opening running the length of the arm. The exception being tight fitting bracers. Most tops are sleeveless or have short sleeves that go no further than the elbow. It is the law of the land here to openly wear weapons, as transparency fosters trust among the people and helps prevent conflict. However, keeping a hidden weapon handy is still a fairly common practice.

The more affluent residents are often fond of showing off their wealth by way of layers of jewelry draping from their limbs, hips, or headwear.

Lowlan Borough is not part of the accord of the United Realms, however it remains neutral, yet friendly with UR, functioning as an ascendancy with a single ruler and appointed overseers for each Parish. Here unique legal customs are practiced, including disputes to be resolved via dueling or magistrate decision. This creates a distinct atmosphere, yet the inhabitants are generally well-educated and intelligent.

Centralized markets serve as bustling social centers, where locals gather to purchase goods, share news, and enjoy each other's company. Stalls overflow with a diverse selection of products, including fresh fruits, vegetables, exotic spices; intricately crafted jewelry and enchanted items; and unique textiles and garments. The sounds of animated conversations, laughter, and music fill the air, accompanied by the tantalizing smells of regional cuisine prepared on-site. Marketgoers often meet at communal tables to share meals and gossip.

Despite the genial nature of most residents there remains an air of secrecy about the realm that visitors are drawn to. In part due to the difference in how the politics operate in comparison to UR, but also because there is a duality to the people of this realm. They are warm and inviting, but remain on guard and always seem to be looking over their shoulder, possibly from the heavy presence of Legion in area.​
